Through generous donations of non-perishable food, toiletries, toys, and funds, Fill a House has helped hundreds of families experience the magic of Christmas.
This year, we are beyond humbled to announce that we’ve officially surpassed $100,000 in total monetary donations. How is Meadows of Morinville involved in Fill a House?
Meadows of Morinville is at the heart of our Fill a House efforts this year! Our community serves as the home base for logistics, with all donations gathered and stored in one of our available homes—soon to be filled to the rafters with generosity. Our Sales Centre has collection boxes ready for drop-offs, making it easy to contribute.
In addition, we proudly host the annual Fill a House Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction, an event dedicated to raising donations and funds for the campaign. You can also bring donations to our Acheson Sales Centre, where we’re collecting toys, toiletries, non-perishable food, and monetary donations. Every contribution helps bring holiday magic to families in need!

How Many Lives Has Fill a House Touched?
Hundreds. Fill a House has been making a difference for eight years, and we recently hit an incredible milestone—surpassing $100,000 in total monetary donations! None of this would be possible without the generosity of our amazing community and sponsors.
Through our partnership with the Morinville Adopt a Family program, local families in need can apply for a Christmas hamper filled with essentials and holiday cheer. This initiative ensures that more families in Morinville and Sturgeon County can experience the magic of the season.
This year alone, we’ve collected 218 toy donations, 436 food items, 142 toiletries, and $9,065 in monetary donations. Every contribution, big or small, helps brighten the holidays for those who need it most!
Who Can Apply for a Christmas Hamper?
Anyone in need can apply for a Christmas hamper through the Morinville Adopt a Family program. The process is simple—fill out an application and meet the program’s criteria. Once approved, a dedicated team of volunteers comes together to assemble and deliver hampers filled with holiday essentials and special gifts.
One of the most heartwarming parts of the campaign is Wrap Day—a lively mix of holiday cheer, teamwork, and a little bit of organized chaos! Before this big day, volunteers embark on a Walmart shopping trip, using monetary donations to check off wish list items for families. It’s always a sight to see carts overflowing with gifts, food, and essentials, all carefully chosen to make the season brighter.
Once everything is gathered, the real magic happens. Volunteers form assembly lines, carefully selecting toys, food, and other donated items to create personalized hampers. Thanks to their dedication, families receive their hampers the very same day, ensuring they have everything they need for a special holiday season.
